Johanson’s Metal Element Current Resistors (RMC Series) are developed for current sensing and shunt applications. The metal element design allows for maximum cooling via airflow, thus reducing the heat that goes into the PCB.
Additionally, the height of this resistor was designed to provide power electronics design engineers the means to squeeze more current-sensing capability into power supply designs that are crowded.
With resistance values as low as 0.005 Ohms, and wattages from 1w to 5w, this series can be used to a variety of power electronics design.
